We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our AI platform team that builds innovative, data-driven recruiting services. You’ll be working closely with our team of data scientists to scale applications powered by classifiers and machine learning models. You’ll be responsible for implementing and maintaining high-volume pipelines for cleaning and matching HR data. Together with our dedicated DevOps team, you ensure a seamless integration of new services into the existing infrastructure, at enterprise-level service reliability.

We partner and collaborate with R&D leaders, product managers, engineers, and business leaders to design and develop data-driven solutions that have the power to significantly change the way people find career opportunities, and how companies hire the best talent.

We rely on collaborative, self-organizing teams and lean software development processes. We use a variety of tools and technologies to achieve this. Our products are used by a large number of customers and affect the experience of millions of job candidates.

As soon as you land at SmartRecruiters, we’ll be relying on your expertise to:

  • Create highly scalable, parallelized data pipelines to power our Recruiting AI

  • Craft production-ready solutions to leverage classifiers and ML models at scale

  • Build tooling to empower data science and ML operations

  • Work with large-scale projects in different technologies, including Python, that make up our data processing system

  • Design for testing and ensure quality at all levels

Qualifications

You will make a great fit if you have:

  • Extensive experience in designing, implementing, testing data pipelines
  • Extensive experience in deploying and monitoring ML models
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and data lakes
  • Familiarity with data processing engines
  • Familiarity with data workflow management systems and their concepts
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar)
  • Familiarity with data layer technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, ...)
  • Good knowledge of Python and familiarity with its data ecosystem
  • Good understanding of distributed systems
  • Experience with test automation
  • Extensive experience in building highly reliable and performant systems

It’s a bonus if you have experience with any of the following

  • Experience in Spark, Hadoop, Flink
  • Knowledge of Numpy, Scipy, Pandas
  • Knowledge of Airflow, MLflow, Kubeflow
  • Knowledge of Java or Scala and familiarity with their respective data ecosystems
  • Knowledge of any additional programming languages (e.g. Java, Scala, etc…)
  • Knowledge of continuous integration systems
  • Knowledge of microservice architecture
