Question: What’s the team dynamic like? Can you share an example of how the team collaborates to win deals or support each other?

Emi: I absolutely LOVE this team. We share a “win together” mindset, and when we set our sights on a deal, we go after it collectively. Titles don’t matter - everyone is willing to step up, stay flexible, and give 200%. The energy in our group is amazing, and we bring so much creativity and a true 'can-do' attitude to every opportunity.
What really stands out is how each person’s strengths are unique, yet when we combine them, we operate like a team of superheroes. We brainstorm, support each other, and collaborate relentlessly to provide the best solutions for our customers. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of such a high-energy group of people.

Defining Success in the Role

Question: What does success look like in this role after 6-12 months? What key attributes make someone thrive in Enterprise Account Executive position?

Shery: Success in this role after 6-12 months means building strong relationships with key enterprise prospects, managing complex sales cycles, and starting to close major deals. You should deeply understand our solution, clearly communicate its value to executives, and collaborate effectively across teams. Additionally, you should establish a strong team workflow, leveraging each other’s strengths and your network to work smoothly and efficiently.

Question: How does SmartRecruiters support sales professionals in their career growth?

Dennis: At SmartRecruiters, we offer many opportunities for internal development. I personally started in Sales and later took on the responsibility for the region. Question: Have you experienced an opportunity to expand your skills or advance in your role?

Emi: I’ve definitely had opportunities for growth here - both in terms of role promotion and skill development. One thing I’ve learned is that being proactive is key: I actively seek out mentorship, use resources like LinkedIn Learning, and consistently ask for feedback. If there’s something I want to learn or a direction I want to move in, I’m never shy about going for it. SmartRecruiters really supports development, and I’ve found that if you know what you want and put in the effort, there are plenty of opportunities to grow.

Question: What are the biggest shifts happening in enterprise recruitment technology right now? How does your team stay ahead of these trends?

Shery: Enterprise recruitment is shifting towards AI-driven hiring, automation, and seamless integrations. Companies demand smarter, faster, and more data-driven solutions.

Candidate Advice & Tips

Question: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to candidates applying for this role? Is there anything they can do to stand out in the recruitment process?

Dennis: One important piece of advice I’d give to candidates is to understand that this role requires a lot of dedication, passion, and fire. It's not just about having the necessary skills - it’s about showing a genuine enthusiasm for the work and a commitment to the company’s success.
To stand out, candidates should share specific examples from their past experiences that demonstrate their passion and drive, and their ability to tackle challenges with energy and determination. It’s about showing you’re ready to go above and beyond.

Living Our New Company Values

Question: Can you share a real example of how your team embodies one of our new values in daily work (Solve the biggest problems, Commit and dig deep, Together we will win)?

Shery: It's always about teamwork here. Just last week, we had our first discovery meeting with a prospect, and I wasn't sure how to follow up. But my Solution Architect teammate took the initiative and proactively prepared a follow-up email that addressed all of the prospect's requests. It’s great to know I can always count on the team!

Emi: At the end of last financial year, we showed TOGETHER we will WIN when we had some last-minute ideas for add-on sales and bold video campaign(s). The whole team jumped in, brainstorming until late at night and turning our ideas into reality by the next day. We all took on different roles—sales, pre-sales, implementation—whatever it took. In the end, we finished the year strong and celebrated our success as one team, united by trust, determination and commitment.

Personal Reflections & Surprises

Question: What’s something unexpected that you like about working here? Maybe something that surprised you after joining?

Emi: One thing that really surprised me is that, even though we’re no longer a startup, we still have a startup mindset. You can explore new ideas, be creative, and anyone—from your colleagues, all the way up to VPs or the CEO—is happy to help. There’s a real “open-door” mentality here, and we all pitch in together to succeed & win deals. It keeps the work exciting and supportive, which I really enjoy.

Shery: One thing that really stood out to me after joining is the energy and openness within the team. Conversations are honest, ideas are always welcome, and there’s a real down-to-earth approach to strategy—no unnecessary complexity, just a focus on what truly works. And, of course, having the best VP makes a huge difference—supportive, visionary, and always leading by example!
